This fungi can create hallucinations and delusions when too much of it is ingested. Albert Hofmann, a Swiss drug store, manufactured LSD from ergot in 1938 while trying to find some healing worth in the chemicals. He uncovered the hallucinogenic and also psychedelic buildings of the drug in 1943 when he unintentionally took some himself. LSD Blotter users call an LSD experience a "trip," normally long lasting twelve hrs or two. When points fail, which often takes place, it is called a "negative trip," an additional name for a living hell.
